Sprinkler Inspection:

Whether or not Pacific was your sprinkler installation company, we are ready to service and maintain your domestic sprinkler systems! Due to changes in weather, landscape growth, and natural wear and tear, it is important to have a professional irrigation company mtaintain your lawn irrigation or garden irrigation system.

Some common irrigation repairs/ adjustments are:

Pumps & Wells:

A sprinkler pump is designed to pump water from a well or body of water to supply water to an in ground irrigation system. Sprinkler pumps are most commonly used in Florida because the water table is so high and can pull water from other water sources such as a well, lake, or canal. Pacific Lawn Sprinklers can both install and service lawn sprinkler irrigation pumps.

Pacific can service and install:

• Centrifugal pump - A centrifugal pump works with a pump start relay and pulls water from wells, lakes and canals.
• Jet pump – this pump is an above ground pump that works with a pressure switch and a pressure tank. This pump is typically installed when a system needs to be under constant pressure.

Spring turn on:

A lawn sprinkler turn on is the 'opening' of your lawn sprinkler irrigation system after it was shut down for the winter months A spring start up is completed by the Pacific Lawn Sprinklers Team anytime in March and right through May. We recommend having your start up completed BEFORE you have landscaping and plantings installed to ensure that your grass, shrubs and flowers receive water immediately after planting.

During a Spring Turn On, Pacific Will:

• Slowly open the supply valves and pressurize supply lines and water mains
• Energize each individual zone and perform a detailed inspection of the lateral supply lines
• Check sprinkler heads, risers, drip irrigation lines or emitters for proper operation
• Adjust sprinkler heads for direction and volume required for the specific area they are watering
• Reprogram the irrigation controller for spring settings and watering times
• Perform other inspections and adjustments to the automatic rain sensors, electronic control valves and control wiring

Winterization/ Drain Down:

An irrigation drain down or winterization is completed by the Pacific Lawn Sprinkler Team in the late fall or early winter- November through January. It is important to drain your irrigation system before the cold weather and freezing temperatures occur, to reduce the risk of damage to your lawn sprinkler system’s components and piping. If water freezes in the sprinkler lines or backflow, it can cause the irrigation lines to break or the backflow to crack.

During a drain down, Pacific will:

• Shut down the main water supply to the irrigation system
• Use compressed air to clear out any water that is in the backflow or manifold
• Locate the backflow device and cover it with an insulation backflow protection system (additional cost)
• Install a freeze sensor to ensure your system does not water during colder temperatures (additional cost)
• Cycle through all of the zone valves to ensure they are not under any pressure, and release as much excess water in the valves as possible
• Check irrigation drip zones and drain the lines and filters
