Every March we host our annual team meeting for all franchisees, their employees and our office staff. Every year we have over 100 people in attendance and the energy level is high! The annual agenda includes information on new technological advances in the irrigation industry, new customer promotions and offers, the importance of quality customer service both in the field and from the office, technician awards, team building exercises, and much more. One of the most notable parts of our annual meetings is the comradery among all members of the Pacific Team. From the customer service representatives to the service technicians, every team member is excited to be there. They are committed to Pacific’s 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee and understand they each play a vital role in Pacific’s brand and way of doing business.
As mentioned, our new franchisee training is conducted when we welcome new franchisees to the Pacific Family! We really dive into everything PACIFIC! It is truly a pleasure to work with new franchisees who are so dedicated to providing the QUALITY irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage, and holiday lighting services Pacific is known for. Training is typically held in our Queens Facility with a medley of computer tablet training and field training. New franchisees learn all about the “PACIFIC SYSTEM” and Business 101. This includes an introduction to the Pacific Lawn Sprinklers Brand, operational procedures, Pacific office and bookkeeping procedures, the multiple avenues of franchisee support, advertising, and an introduction to using a tablet in the field. This training also includes open discussions, one on one training, and group activities to ensure a well-rounded and thorough training. In the field portion, franchisees have an opportunity to really “dive in”. Through group exercises and hands on activities, franchisees thoroughly learn about irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage and holiday lighting. We cover all of the components of an irrigation system (controllers, valves, fittings, soldering, etc.) as well as tips and tricks to utilize in the field. Proper field training is crucial for new franchisees. New franchisees not only learn how to design and install a sprinkler system, but how to make repairs and trouble shoot as well. These skills are invaluable when in the field and franchisees learned from field supervisors with over 250 years of collective field experience!
One of the reasons Pacific has been able to maintain its position as the leading
name in the evolving irrigation industry is because of our focus on cutting edge technology. We are constantly
learning about advances in technology and how technicians can implement it in the field. Recently, we tailored
our focus on the installation and service of Smart WIFI controllers. Our franchisees were rigorously trained on
how to install, service, and operate Wifi controllers. We understand that customers want the most up to date
technology available and Pacific is ready to deliver!
The Pacific Franchise Team also holds annual holiday lighting forums to prepare for
the upcoming Holiday Season! During both the onsite exercises and the classroom training, franchisees share
ideas and their field experiences, which create valuable discussions that everyone can benefit from. We review
new products, installation procedures and sales tips!
Our office trainings are fun meetings where we not only learn about new procedures and updates for the upcoming season, but participate in team building games and perform group exercises!
