Projects in or near downtown Columbus awarded $2.8 million in historic tax credits

Long-vacant buildings on Broad St. in Downtown, on Fourth in Italian Village and several on the Near East Side set to be rehabbed with state credits Several buildings that have been longtime eyesores in Columbus' urban core should be revitalized thanks in part to a total of $2.8 million in Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits. The latest round of credits was revealed in a Wednesday morning announcement in Cincinnati by the Ohio Development Services Agency.

Columbus Foundation to mark its 75th anniversary with free bus rides, museum admissions

To celebrate its 75th anniversary, the Columbus Foundation is picking up the tab for a full day of communitywide transportation and cultural exploration on Dec. 29. All COTA bus rides will be free on the Saturday after Christmas and no one will pay admission at six of central Ohio's best known museums and arts centers: the Columbus Museum of Art, COSI, Franklin Park Conservatory, the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, Ohio History Connection and the Wexner Center for the Arts. "It's meant to be a gift to the community," Doug Kridler, the foundation's president and CEO, said during the Central Ohio Transit Authority's board meeting Wednesday.

To say that Pacific Lawn Sprinklers is ready for the 2018 Spring Season would be an understatement! Earlier this month Pacific held their annual team meeting for all office staff and technicians, and what a turn out it was! There was a sea of blue “Pacific” shirts in their Queens training facility, with over 100 people in attendance. Further, the parking lot was full of their bright yellow service trucks. The energy level was high, as all team members were eager to get back to work and continue doing what they do best – offering unmatched, “ON TIME OR ON US” customer service.
