Look-alike knife seized on school bus

The Washington Community School District reported Thursday morning there had been an incident in which a bus driver confiscated a plastic look-alike knife from an elementary school student at a bus pickup near St. James School. According to a news release from the district the student was waving the object in the bus line.

Two Loud Parties Mean Infractions For Five College Students

On Friday around 11:45 p.m., a neighbor reported loud music and lots of guests at a party on Fairfield Beach Road. Police called to the scene wrote infractions for creating a public disturbance for the four residents of the house: J.K. Ghahremani, 21, of St. James, N.Y.; Stephen Grillo, 21, of Rockville Center, N.Y.; Anthony Imbo, 21, of Central Islip, N.Y.; and Samuel Rice, 22, of Massachusetts.
