On Oct. 18 at 10:21 p.m., Newton police responded to a noise complaint at a boarding house at 96 Main Street, Newton. Upon arrival, a female occupant of the reported apartment answered the door and was identified as Christina Gagliardi, age 33, of Brick, N.J. Gagliardi indicated that a male, who also had been present within the apartment, had fled from police by jumping out of a 2nd story window upon becoming aware of the presence of police.

Two arrested at Newton boarding house on disorderly persons charges

Hiding from police and providing a false name led to the arrest of a Brick woman and a Phillipsburg man at a Newton boarding house on disorderly persons charges, police said. Matthew Ollerenshaw, 31, was charged with obstructing the administration of law, hindering apprehension, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic syringes.

Fugitive wanted in Long Branch shooting arrested

LONG BRANCH -- Authorities Wednesday arrested a shooting suspect who had been on the run for more than a week, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said. Donovan L. Wesley, 25, of Brick, was caught by officers from the US Marshals Service and the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office and has been charged with attempted murder, armed burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose.
