Rowan student murder not really a 'cold case' | Editorial

How can investigators be so close, yet so far, from solving the murder of a 19-year-old Rowan University student in 2007? On the tenth anniversary of the beating death of Donnie Farrell at the Glassboro campus, this is still a question that puzzles and amazes Farrell's friends and the community at large. It's not fair -- not to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, not to those volunteers who work to keep Farrell's memory alive -- to label the murder a "cold case."

Thousands without power in N.J. as utility crews work to restore service

Thousands of homes and businesses in New Jersey are without power Monday morning as the rain and wind that has affected New Jersey since early Sunday continues to knock down utility lines. More than 20,000 without power before dawn Monday, but those numbers have dropped.

Budd Lake man indicted for strict liability in overdose death

A 37-year-old Budd Lake man was indicted Tuesday for the death of a Lake Hopatcong mother of two who overdosed on fentanyl he allegedly sold her. Kayron "Keys" Jackson, also known as Alkama Jackson, was indicted by a Morris County grand jury on 18 counts, including first-degree strict liability for drug-induced death, third-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically fentanyl, and additional possession and distribution charges of fentanyl and heroin between April 24 and May 8 in Mount Olive and Hopatcong.

Pacific Lawn Sprinklers is READY FOR SPRING!

To say that Pacific Lawn Sprinklers is ready for the 2018 Spring Season would be an understatement! Earlier this month Pacific held their annual team meeting for all office staff and technicians, and what a turn out it was! There was a sea of blue “Pacific” shirts in their Queens training facility, with over 100 people in attendance. Further, the parking lot was full of their bright yellow service trucks. The energy level was high, as all team members were eager to get back to work and continue doing what they do best – offering unmatched, “ON TIME OR ON US” customer service.
