Music of Sibelius opens Hunterdon Symphony concert season

On Saturday, Nov. 4, the Hunterdon Symphony will present the first concert of their 2017-2018 season. This program, entitled "Nordic Light, will feature the orchestra under the direction of Conductor Lawrence Kursar in a performance of Grieg's Norwegian Dances and two compositions by Sibelius.

Cops: Officer's warnings don't stop man building skate ramp

A man working on a skate ramp on private property was arrested after failing to stop the work, Hackettstown police reported. A little after 3 p.m. Saturday, an officer on routine patrol saw two men re-building a skate ramp on a lot at 301 Mountain Ave; the property is owned by Lion Gate at Musconetcong River LLC, records say.
