The Society's Rare Parchments: the story of their origin and preservation

Tessa Gadomski of the Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts is travelling from Philadelphia to be the guest speaker at the Hunterdon County Historical Society's annual fall membership meeting on Sunday, Nov. 12, @ 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street in Flemington. Gadomski will discuss the conservation assessment of such projects and the science behind the treatment processes for the conservation of ink and parchment.

Officer, union president charged with rape released to house arrest

TRENTON -- Donald Ryland, the county corrections officer and union president charged with raping two women , will be released on house arrest following a lengthy detection hearing Wednesday. Ryland, 44, of Hamilton, is accused of attacking women in Trenton on Oct. 6 and Oct. 12 this month.

$16M grant will help Trenton combat diabetes | Editorial

That's one of the important components of a project called Capital City Diabetes Collaborative , which has just received a five-year, $1.5 million grant from the Merck Foundation to address a growing public-health concern.
