Scarecrow contest becomes tradition in Branchville

After a highly successful debut last fall, the borough's scarecrow contest has returned, and residents have been hard at work finalizing their creations for the contest next weekend. Both residential homes and commercial buildings are eligible to enter the contest, in which participants place a scarecrow with a pumpkin for a head on their property in celebration of Halloween.

Circus gives back to county nonprofits with free performance

After making Sussex County its home for the past several weeks, the Big Apple Circus showed its appreciation for the area by treating several local non-profit organizations to a free preview show as part of a "Fair Community Evening" at the Sussex County Fairgrounds Thursday. The performance served as a precursor to the upcoming shows in which general admission tickets are available to the public for $10, plus a $5 parking fee, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pacific Lawn Sprinklers is READY FOR SPRING!

To say that Pacific Lawn Sprinklers is ready for the 2018 Spring Season would be an understatement! Earlier this month Pacific held their annual team meeting for all office staff and technicians, and what a turn out it was! There was a sea of blue “Pacific” shirts in their Queens training facility, with over 100 people in attendance. Further, the parking lot was full of their bright yellow service trucks. The energy level was high, as all team members were eager to get back to work and continue doing what they do best – offering unmatched, “ON TIME OR ON US” customer service.
